gWith a motherfs heartc We
must end conflict and pave the way for reconciliation between Korea and Japanh
The event was held at the Ariake Coliseum in the
Gotou district of Tokyo, Japan, on "Mother's
Day," May 14 at 2 pm. There were about 12,000 participants, who filled the
place despite the cloudy weather, reflecting on the deteriorating relationship
between Korea and Japan, vowing to "resolve the conflict between Korea and
Japan with a motherfs love." They strongly resolved to improve relations
between the two countries.
The Family Federation for World Peace and
Unification (below FFWPU) held the gHyo Jeong Culture Festivalh event with the theme of gHappy
Family, Stirring
On the afternoon of the 14th, amongst approximately 12,000 people,
including politicians, economists and media representatives, who had
participated at the gHyo Jeong
Culture Festivalh event at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo,
Japan, Dr. Hak Ja
Han Moon, founder of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, emphasized
that gYou must all embrace the world with a motherly heart.h
The event was attended by the founder of the Family Federation, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, along with International President Sun Jin Moon, Japan President Yong-Cheon Song and FFWPU Japan President Eiji Tokuno. Political leaders of Japan, including members of the Lower House of Representatives and the House of Councils, also attended this event.
"I am a member of the National Assembly, but I want to contribute to world peace by being a member the Parliamentarians Association for Peace," said one Diet member in his congratulatory speech.
Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon said in her keynote speech, "In order for the world to realize a dream of becoming one family under God, we must embrace this world with a motherly heart. So, please, I would like all of you here to do your best." She continued on saying, "I would like to ask you all here to stand on the front line and be leaders at this great time in history."
The event, which started with an introductory video
about the Family Federation, was followed by a choir performance, dance
performance, Mother's Day letter reading by a daughter to her mother, an
opening speech given by FFWPU Japan President Eiji Tokuno, the introduction of the guest of honor given by
International President Sun Jin Moon, a presentation of a carnation bouquet and
the keynote speech given by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.
According to the Family
Federation, this event was intended to remind the Japanese society of the
values of Hyo (filial piety) and Jeong
(heart). Through this, it is possible to solve the conflicts between the family
and the youth that have emerged as a social problem in Japan. At the same time,
it also means that Korea and Japan will be able to resolve the recent tensions,
and take time to establish a peaceful and right relationship.
Peace, which Rev. Sun Myung
Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon had pursued throughout their whole lives,
focuses on the idea of "one family under God" and the culture of Hyo (filial piety) to our parents. Therefore, the Family
Federation anticipates that on this gMotherfs Day,h the participants, through
understanding the heart of mothers who gives everything and is not afraid to
sacrifice herself for her children, Korea and Japan
can break away from conflict and open a new chapter of reconciliation and
peace. The Hyo Jeong
Culture Festival will be held not only in Tokyo, but also in each metropolitan
municipality in Japan by 2020.
