Subject: More on Ideals

I had a chance to ask the National
Messiah to Russia, about the question you asked to me. I
have the good fortune to live with a National Messiah. God
I feel really speaks through him. He really catches the point,
and also it is very personal, even to the point of hitting me
straight in the mind or heart, with the thing I need, or maybe
I don't even want to hear! That is good; that is what we all
need.
Now, one thing I want to say in preliminary, upon
reading what I wrote to you yesterday. Basically, I feel that
it is really God-inspired. However, I want to caution
especially one thing: Perhaps my words came out as too
arrogant, especially in the beginning. Fundamentally my
attitude is to respect others in their opinions, philosophies,
beliefs, personalities, wisdom. This is a humanistic attitude.
Often the Bible and Father are very straight, sharp. Still, we
need to balance our approach with a good wisdom about
relating to people, winning their hearts, and really not
outright alienating people in general, if possible. It is one
type of Abel's mistake, which we have both studied and
experienced.

Now, what did my National Messiah point out in
regard to ideals?
The first thing Mr. Aoki commented was: "There
must be a growth period."
Let me analyze this remark on the importance of the
growing period. This of course comes right from the first
chapter of Principle, on the three stages of growth. Now,
what kind of concept is that, and why is it particularly
important for us?
The key lies in its Adamic nature, and in the Adamic
nature of Principle. Principle belongs to the Completed
Testament Age, even if we are not Completed Testament
people yet. We tend rather to be archangel-type.
What is Completed Testament truth? To answer this,
again, you go to God's creation. Why did God create the
world which was not under His direct control or dominion,
foreign to the angelic concept of absolute hierarchy,
obedience, and control? (After all, that was one of the
criticisms or complaints of the Archangel Lucifer, for which
he rebelled against God. Lucifer did not respect that which
was not under clear dominion or control. It was, for him,
foolishness. That is likewise our weakness as fallen people,
to criticize that which is not under archangel-type authority,
which appears inferior or foolish, but which actually is
Adamic, which will inherit the future as the true princes and
princesses of creation, in the Adamic tradition.)
Completed Testament truth requires growth. It is not
given to you nor to us to simply receive it full-grown. God
created the physical world in order for man to grow in and
go through all the trials and struggles and challenges of
growth in order to come to understand and take loving
dominion of the physical world, including the archangel-
type beings found in connection with our lives, and
especially, our own spirit: We must grow spiritually by
growing in our relationship and maturity in reference to the
physical world. Once we grow, then we can inherit the right
to be dominators or Lords of Creation in both the spiritual
and physical world. No being can just grow in the spiritual
world alone, to become one with God. To be one with God
means to be an autonomous creator, like God is. Therefore
God gave us the world which is not under His control, and
the body which is not easy for us to dominate, in order that
we will become mature and perfect, and become like God, in
order that He can share with us in the total love of
companions. "God created them in His image and likeness."
Jesus: "Do you not know that you are all gods?"
That is why the importance of the growth period in
order to achieve the level of Ideal.

As you know, "Ideal" has two meanings. The first
refers to the "Ideal" of Socrates and Plato -- an internal,
invisible world which is nevertheless more real and more
essential than the visible, transient world of everyday reality.
That is basically what you are referring to in your question.
The second meaning of "ideal" is a standard of perfection
beyond which you cannot imagine or grow. Ideal is the
sense of the true quality a thing or a person should have and
can have. And yet we also have the concept that the perfect
ideal is unattainable, that we always will fall short. This is
the ideal standard.
Now, referring to the second meaning of "ideal", the
ideal standard for a thing or a person, we find that we can
actually connect it to the first meaning, of the Ideal Realm in
which the original forms of things and ideas are preserved a
priori. Because, where does the ideal standard of a thing
come from? From its Creator. We know that all things and
man were not designed and created by accident, as
evolutionists believe, but by the prior plan and knowledge
of God. Therefore, God had in mind already the Ideal, or
ideal standard, for those things, in order that they may fulfill
their original intended purpose in fullness, and bring joy to
God and to man. That is the Ideal, and the ideal standard,
residing in the Logos of God, also transmitted to the
conscience of man, and in the very nature of the essence of
reality.
Now, how is the ideal standard determined? The
ideal standard is determined by the Four Position
Foundation, centered on the original purpose of God.
Namely, God has a purpose and proper position for the
things He made, and the relationships to be observed. That
can be multiple -- a thing (or person) can serve multiple
purposes or functions, and that is an aspect of creativity too.
Anyway, the elements of the Four Position Foundation are
the elements with whom or with which the thing or person
is intended to have give and take. In that case, the person or
thing is serving its proper purpose, and the standard of the
Four Position Foundation, ideal give and receive action, will
yield the ideal standard for that being. So, the ideal standard
is determined through the Four Position Foundation,
centered on God's heart and purpose.
Thus, the essential ideals for humanity are
determined primarily based on the Three Blessings which
God gave to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden: "Be
fruitful, multiply and fill the earth, and have dominion over
all the things therein." That expresses man's true, ideal
purpose; and how to bring joy to both man and God. That is
the ideal.

In the order of creation which I outlined, I want to
add that, once God had created Adam and Eve, on the "sixth
day", then, in the "seventh day", then God intended for
Adam and Eve and all their descendants to fulfill their own
portion of responsibility and complete the Ideal of Creation.
Namely, they were to (1) Grow up to perfection; (2)
Become husband and wife (True Parents); (3) Become
parents, raising a family; (4) Expand to a clan or tribe; (5) a
society (whatever the difference that is!); then (6) a nation;
(7) the world or all humanity on earth; even going beyond to
(8) the solar system, (9) the local star cluster, (10) the Milky
Way Galaxy in thousands of years, (11) the galactic cluster
beyond that level; and finally (12) populate the entire
Universe. This is all within the human portion of
responsibility.

Fallen man is not ideal, but up until now, it is all we
fallen people who have been talking about ideals, and
making up the whole language too, which we use! So, ideals
are also accessible to us. Why? Because the Principle is true
-- it works; and therefore, if you construct the Quadruple
Base or Four Position Foundation centered upon any
recognizable purpose, then the Principle will work in that
context. It doesn't depend completely on what else is going
on. So you can find geniuses, great artist, philosophers,
loving parents, all within the fallen world.
It is important to know and understand and respect,
or have compassion for, the mind and heart of people
(meaning all of us sinful people). Fallen man has a very
complex mind and heart, and very wily nature, many
pitfalls, and lots of power to wield. So we must understand
how to live and deal in this world. Father does, very well.
But never lose your ideal.
Father said, "These things are most precious: your
love, your life, and your ideal."
More recently, Father has said, "True love, true life,
true blood lineage, and true conscience."
It is all within the Ideal Realm of God, which we are
striving towards.

Yours truly,
