Message from Dr. Seuk about True Father’s current situation

Beloved brothers and sisters,

I offer my heartfelt appreciation to all members who are offering jeongseong for True Father’s speedy recovery.
I know that your greatest concern at this time is True Father’s health. Therefore, I would like to share some recent developments regarding True Father.

The doctor’s opinion yesterday had indicated that the next forty-eight hours would be critical and that Father’s chances were 50:50. We understand that True Father’s condition has not greatly changed since yesterday but the doctor mentioned this morning that a lot of the swelling had subsided and that he saw some improvement compared to the previous day. I firmly believe that True Father will pull through.

Early in the morning on 6.28 by the heavenly calendar (August 15), Hyung-jin nim had personally or through his assistants contacted all the True Children.

Beginning with True Mother, Hyung-jin nim’s family and Kook-jin nim’s family, In-jin nim’s family, Yeon-jin nim and Jeong-jin nim who arrived in Korea, are watching over the hospital room 24 hours while offering prayer and jeongseong. Today we expect Ye-jin nim, Kwon-jin nim and his wife, Eun-jin nim and Sun-jin nim’s family to arrive.

I am sure that many of our brothers and sisters were concerned about Hyun-jin nim, but fortunately he was contacted. He came to the hospital and visited True Father who was in a deep sleep.

Yesterday at 6 pm, the Korean Headquarters invited the elder members, relatives of True Parents, heads of providential organizations and key leaders and briefed them in detail of True Father’s circumstances. They resolved to offer prayer and jeongseong together with the entire Unification Family for True Father’s recovery. We have also heard that many members of the Unification Family throughout the world, after hearing the news about True Father, voluntarily began fasting, offering vigil night prayers and other jeongseong.

Like the old saying that sincerity moves Heaven, I believe that our sincerity and jeongseong shall reach Heaven and that we will surely see True Father in good health again.

존경하는 식구님 여러분!

참부모님의 쾌유를 위하여 정성드리고 계신 식구님들께 진심으로 감사 드립니다.

식구님들께서 무엇보다도 참부모님의 안위에 대하여 궁금해 하시고 염려하시고 계실 것 같아 참아버님의 근황에 대해 알려드리고자 합니다.

어제 주치의의 견해는 48시간이 고비라며 50대 50이라는 표현을 썼습니다. 참아버님은 어제와 비교해서 아직 큰 차도가 없는 상태이지만, 오늘 아침 주치로부터 어제보다 붓기도 많이 빠지시고 조금 좋아지셨다는 소견이 있었습니다. 반드시 쾌유하시리라 믿습니다.

문형진 세계회장님께서는 천력 6월 28일(양력 8월 15일)인 어제 이른 새벽부터 모든 참자녀님들께 직접 혹은 보좌관을 통하여 연락을 취하셨습니다.

참어머님을 위시하여 형진님 가정과 국진님 가정, 인진님 가정, 연진님, 정진님께서는 귀국하시어 24시간 병실을 지키며 기도와 정성을 다하고 계십니다. 오늘은 예진님, 권진님 가정, 은진님, 선진님 가정이 오실 예정이십니다.

그 동안 많은 식구님들이 염려하신 사항입니다만 다행히 현진님께서도 연락을 받으시고 병원을 찾아 숙면 중에 계신 참아버님을 뵙고 가셨습니다.

한국협회에서는 어제 오후 6시 협회본부에서 원로종친과 기관장, 주요 지도자분들을 모시고 참아버님의 근황에 대한 자세한 브리핑과 함께 전 통일가가 합심하여 참아버님의 쾌유를 위해 기도와 정성을 드리기로 결의하였습니다. 아울러 이미 전 세계 통일가의 많은 식구님들께서 참아버님의 소식을 듣고 자발적으로 금식과 철야 등 지극한 정성을 다하고 계시다는 소식을 들었습니다.

지성이면 감천이라는 옛말처럼 우리의 정성이 하늘에 닿아 반드시 참아버님의 건강하신 모습을 뵙길 소망합니다.
