Liberate True Parents!’
Rev. In Jin Moon
August 31 2012
Good evening. Hello, brothers and sisters. It’s such a beautiful day in the city known to be the Windy City of America. I’m terribly delighted to be here with all of you. As you are well aware, I bring you greetings from our True Parents, and especially from our True Mother and the rest of my siblings. As Rev. Cotter just mentioned, I came back to America after spending about a week with our True Father. You have been briefed on the current situation of our True Father by our international president, and he will continue to do so regarding our True Father’s road of recovery.
But as you have heard, Father has gone into St. Mary’s Catholic Hospital on the 13th and prior to that, he was in the hospital for 10 days, was taken to Cheongshim Hospital in Cheongpyeong [Aug. 3, 2012] But because his physical state deteriorated rapidly, our True Mother really made the right decision. And again, her ability to think on her feet and do the right thing really was the reason why we still have our True Father with us.
As Rev. Hyung Jin Moon shared with you earlier, had Father arrived at the hospital even 30 minutes later, Father would have ascended on that day. But thank God for our True Mother. Her intuition and her ability to think on the spot, especially in a time of crisis – she did the right thing. With the help of some of the best doctors in Korea, they were able to stabilize our True Father’s situation.
So, we in the True Family, of course, when we got the news, we hurried as fast as we possibly could to Korea, and when we got there, our Mother and our two brothers, Kook Jin and Hyung Jin, who were really holding 24-hour vigil next to our True Father, said these last two days were really awful. From the moment Father came back to the hospital, one organ failing after another. This utter feeling of helplessness, of feeling, “What can we do? Can we not do something?”
But again, our True Mother saved the day in really opening up the sensitivity of our Father’s physical situation with the worldwide family. She, as the True Mother of our movement, felt very strongly that not only is True Father my father, but he is also your father as well. He is our True Father. And therefore, not only the prayers of the True Family but the prayers of our worldwide movement and family would be instrumental in our True Father’s recovery.
So, she asked the international president to share our Father’s situation with everybody. Again, I witnessed the miraculous power of prayer, because the minute your prayers started to come in, Father started to get better, little by little. In what seemed a very volatile two days, we were able to transition into a more stable situation where we could anticipate and be hopeful about our True Father’s recovery. So, your prayers and your jeongseong (acts of devotion), and especially those of you in America who have been partaking and are partaking in the relay-prayer condition that is going on in all the districts, covering the 24 hours in a day, has really been able to harness the spiritual power of our American movement here and really send that powerful love and powerful spirit to really help our True Father to fight for his life.
So, even as I left True Father, he is still fighting for his life, but our True Mother is just such a wonderful and a loving partner to our Father. Out of her concern for our True Father’s well-being, she didn’t want to leave even one minute from our Father’s bedside.
But, Father is not just in ICU. He’s in a special part of the ICU. So, when we went to visit our True Father – we usually do so twice a day, by doctor’s orders, because in the beginning Mother wanted to be with Father all the time, and the doctor cautioned against over-stimulation during visiting hours. So, he strictly scheduled the family only for two brief visits during the day.
So, when we prepare ourselves to visit our True Father, it’s almost like going into a nuclear reactor zone or something. We have to be covered from head to toe, plastic gloves. True Mother and maybe four or five of us go in, maybe in the morning. Then the rest, four or five of us, go in the evening. Our visits run only about 10 to 15 minutes, and the doctor stands with us all the time, making sure that we don’t over-stimulate our True Father.
And he gives very strict guidelines as to how we need to conduct our visits. He asks us very, very firmly, you cannot cry. In fact, you must not cry. Please do not be emotional in your meetings. Please be brief in what you say, and please do not over-stimulate your father.
So, the visit usually goes something like this. One-by-one we take our turns. Mother always greets him first. And one-by-one we say to our True Father, “Father, we love you. Father, please be strong. Father, you look so much better than yesterday. And Father, you’re going to be back on your feet before you know it.” And then we can hold his hand and then we can massage his feet on our way out, and then the next sibling, the next member of the family does the same thing.
So, contrary to a lot of different things being said by different sources – of course we as children, it’s our heart to really have that moment of intimacy with our father, and we want a conversation. We want hugs and kisses, and we want Father to get up, and we want to really embrace as one family. But anybody that understands the reality of our True Father’s situation knows that that cannot be the reality.
Most of the time, because our True Father has 13 different apparatus and machines hooked up to his body, he’s in a great deal of physical pain. He’s hooked up to a dialysis machine. He also is hooked up to a respirator and has a tube down his throat. Therefore, he is unable to talk or respond. And, because the machines are attached to our True Father, it’s a painful process. Even though Father is unconscious, he can hear through the sedation what we are trying to say, but he cannot respond. So, he drifts in and out of sleep, and most of the time is sleeping. So, you cannot say that it’s a very satisfying visit in the sense that we want much more with our visit. But that is how the visits are conducted.
So, please, I know that all of you are praying, and all of you are yearning to know the most current update when it concerns our True Father. I know that Rev. Cotter, for one, when I was in Korea was asking me and texting me, how is Father this morning? How is Father this afternoon? How is Father tonight? How will Father be in the next hour?
I understand that that is all of our hearts, but Father’s situation is such that sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not so good. Father is fighting for his life, and so instead of giving you reports that might unnecessarily make you worry, we want to give the right kind of report in terms of how Father is stabilized, what kind of progress he is making. So, the briefing or the up-to-date reports that our international president shares with all of you is the most current. So, please continue to listen to him for the most up-to-date reports.
But, during my time with True Father, the rest of the family, from my eldest sister, Ye Jin onni (older sister), on down to my youngest sister, Jeong Jin, we really were able to come together in heartistic unity with our True Mother. And once again I was reminded how lucky we truly are to have such a wonderful woman as our True Mother.
For many of us she has been a vision of simple elegance and she has been that quiet wind beneath our wings that really allowed our movement to be the best that it could possibly be. And especially for me and for those brothers and sisters in my own family, my mother has always been that person that inspired us to try our best in everything that we did.
But, as I watched my mother really take care of my father and hold her daily vigil, I realized once again what an incredible woman this lady that I call my mom is. And despite the obvious personal difficulty and the suffering that she must be going through, she has been nothing but that person of incredible strength, of incredible courage and incredible integrity in a very, very difficult time.
And so I realized once again that just as our True Father as the Messiah has been anointed, blessed and appointed by God to be the Messiah and to be our True Father, so this woman that we call our True Mother has also been prepared by our Heavenly Father and Mother and really appointed, blessed and anointed to be the True Mother of all mankind.
And I know in the course of my work at headquarters I’ve gotten to know quite a number of you and your children, and many times I get questions regarding what my view or what my feelings have been when it concerns my father and mother. And of course, just like all of you I went through a period where I deeply questioned my faith and I deeply questioned whether indeed my father was the Messiah, whether indeed my father and mother were the True Parents.
And, of course, I’ve come full circle, because as a child you want to prove your parents wrong. So, you go through your own journey in exploring different religions and different philosophical thoughts. You do your own research, you talk to a lot of people, you go to a lot of different churches and synagogues and mosques, and you name it, we go. But then we realize that there is something really quite profound about our movement. As a woman, to have a woman who can stand in the position as the perfected Eve and really stand as the True Parents of all mankind together with a man who stands in the position of perfected Adam is quite an incredible thing.
And I realized that just as I’ve asked sometimes, “Is Father really the Messiah?” I know that some of you and some of your children ask the very same question. And I remember when I was in my adolescence, I said to my mom, I said, “Mom, how do we know, how do we know for sure Father, my father, is the Messiah? What if he’s not?”
And she said something to me that stayed with me for many, many years. She said, In Jin, aigu – that means oy vay; what kind of a question is that? She said, “In Jin, just because you don’t believe your father is the Messiah does not mean that he is not the Messiah. Your belief doesn’t make him the Messiah. It is God that anoints and blesses and appoints the Messiah.”
And so, as we go through our life of faith, and we might ask ourselves this question from time to time – the same goes for True Mother. A lot of people are wondering, “Well, yeah, I think Father is the Messiah but I’m not really sure about the housewife. Is she really world-class leadership material? Does she have what it takes?”
Well, I would like to remind the audience that 2,000 years ago the Son of Man came in the form of Jesus Christ, and when the Son of Man came, there were a certain number of people who absolutely believed that he was the Son of God and followed him as disciples. But there were also people who were absolutely certain he cannot be the Son of God. And of course there were 12 who believed that he was the Son of God and actually called themselves disciples.
But then there was also one of the disciples named Judas who believed once, but for some reason – perhaps he was a very smart disciple – decided that Jesus could not possibly be the Messiah and ended up selling Jesus for a chunk of change. And I’ve often asked myself, if I get to meet this character named Judas in spirit world, I would like to ask him, “What were you thinking 2,000 years ago? And perhaps that was your problem, that you were thinking too much and you thought you knew better.”
When we look at Jesus’ 12 disciples, out of his 12 disciples Judas was the more intelligent or the more capable or the smart one. He might be in the modern day something analogous to a Harvard MBA graduate Unificationist following our True Parents, who one day wakes up and thinks he knows better, and for reasons A, B, C and D decided that Father and Mother cannot be the Messiah.
I’ve heard some people say, “Well, True Father cannot possibly be the Messiah because though we can’t understand Korean, but we hear Father speaks profanity.” Father curses, and therefore he cannot be the Messiah. Well, a lot of people during Jesus’ time thought Jesus could not be the Messiah because he could not control his temper in the Temple. He was angry, he was shouting, and I would not be surprised if he was cursing at the same time as well. But the biblical scholars of course did not put that in.
And just as a lot of people feel that Father is a very complicated man, the kind of a man that puzzles us from time to time, I’m sure a lot of people who believed that Jesus absolutely could not be the Son of God felt the same way. Perhaps quite a few of them felt that it was not becoming of the Son of God to associate himself with the women of the night, or the untouchables of society, the lowly people of society, and therefore, decided that Jesus could not be the Messiah. And a lot of people have said the same thing about True Father as well.
But fast forward 2,000 years since the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, we realize that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and that his short ministry, two years and eight months, was something that changed the world for the better. And so we are here living in the time of our True Parents, and just like those people at the time of Jesus’ life, we sometimes believe, we sometimes don’t believe, we sometimes doubt, and we sometimes question.
But just because the nonbelievers didn’t believe, it didn’t make Jesus Christ not Jesus Christ. Whether they believed or not, he was the Son of God. And so, whether I believe Father is the Messiah or whether I believe True Parents are the True Parents or not, we have to understand that it is not we that choose the Messiah. It is not we who choose who True Parents are. It is God that chooses.
And, it doesn’t take a biblical scholar or a theologian or a student of religion to realize that what our True Parents have accomplished thus far is phenomenal. It’s never been done in the time of the founder’s life. So, we have to understand that we have got to be the most blessed people on earth, because we’ve never had True Parents in human history ever before, brothers and sisters. But you’ve been working with our True Parents for the last four or five decades. And so how incredibly lucky are we?
And now that we’ve come to this time when our True Father is in the process of healing and of recovery, a lot of people are saying, “Well, what if something happens to our True Father? What are we going to do with the wife? What are the qualifications that she needs? What are the criteria? She is not fit to be a worldwide leader.”
But before we become so hasty in our statements and in our proclamations, I really invite you to think about a couple of things. In my experience in working with different people and working with different leaders – in university and in the business field and in the religious field – I realized there are a couple of characteristics that are integral to a highly effective leader, and one of those abilities is the ability to listen. Our True Mother has given birth to 14 children, seven sons and seven daughters. Just that in and of itself is an incredible feat. But think about this poor woman that has to listen to all 14 of us growing up and still in the process of discovery and coming into our own. This woman has had a tough, tough life.
And all of us are uniquely stubborn, are uniquely opinionated and sometimes quite pig-headed, but our True Mother has really taken up the responsibility of listening to her family and guiding us in ways that really brings out the best in all of us. She has been an incredible teacher of the Socratic method, listening and asking the right kind of question that makes you think and feel you’ve arrived at this incredible revelation on your own. It’s quite ingenious actually, but in that way she makes us feel like we are the ones making the decision every step of the way. And so she is an incredibly sensitive and astute teacher.
A lot of people say, well, she only has a high school education.Well, the most important thing concerns the matter of heart, and education or not, I’ve known a lot of people who have alphabet soup at the end of their names that really do not make a good leader. But it is a leader with the ability to listen and to draw the best out of her children or of her students that deserves to be a worldwide leader.
And the incredible thing about our True Mother is she is incredibly tenacious. Like an octopus, once it gets its tentacles on you, it just sucks the living daylights out of you. That’s how tenacious she is. And the most recent speech that she gave to brothers and sisters after our True Father went into the hospital, she said, “Look toward Foundation Day and never give up.” In a way, never giving up has been this woman’s motto her whole life.
I as her daughter only know the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her personal suffering and her personal difficulty, and all the obstacles that she’s had to overcome to be the True Mother of humankind, but this woman never gives up. And that is why she was able to really be victorious and become that perfected Eve, allowing all the women of the world to be liberated from all the finger accusations of the past, saying, “You are the one who caused the Fall. You evil woman, you need to be silenced and relegated as second-class citizens.”
Because our True Mother never gave up and was victorious, she gives hope to all of us women of the world to find our own dignity and worth as God’s eternal daughter. And the way she works is like a slow bulldozer. She will slowly roll you over, but this woman is here to get the job done. And until she gets the job done, she’s going to continue to slowly roll us over, to be the best that we can possibly be.
And throughout her being a True Mother and a wonderful partner to our True Father, never did I hear this woman complain. She has never complained within earshot of her children. From my point of view as a mother of a couple of children myself, I find that quite astounding. Not only is she just somebody who offers support, but everything that comes out of her mouth is in support of the providence, is in support of what Father is doing, is in support of our brothers and sisters. And the only time I ever heard her complain was about one thing, and one thing only, and it was usually early in the morning when we were off on our way to school and we usually greeted our parents in their bedroom before we ran off to school. I’ve only heard Mother a couple of times say, aigu, Appa – meaning, Oy vay, Father – why do you put so much toilet paper in the toilet? Can you not put so much toilet paper in the toilet? That’s about the extent of complaining that I’ve heard from this woman.
And you know what that tells me? It tells me that this woman has an incredibly strong core. She’s simply an elegant and a beautiful woman, but she has this incredible core, almost like ironclad character and a sense of who she is. She doesn’t feel the need to waste empty words on complaint, but really everything about her is how to uplift, how to support, how to empower.
And that’s the third most important thing about being a world leader. How do you not just inspire but how do you nurture your children, or how do you nurture the worldwide children to not just burn out with inspiration, like a comet flying across the sky, but continually give them the support, the empowerment so that we keep on percolating along in our road of self-discovery? These are the qualities that I believe make up what I call a compassionate leader. And I very much see a compassionate leader in my mother.
So I’ve often talked about us leaving the era of the wilderness into the era of the settlement. And the era of the wilderness really has been a time when we were fighting for our survival. We were very militaristic, very commando-ish. We go in for the events, we do our thing, we go out onto the next mission, on to Washington Monument, Yankee Stadium, on and on and on. VOC, CAUSA, on and on and on. We were in a way fighting the battle to survive and to really share the breaking news as fast as we possibly could
And the first generation did an incredible job of supporting our True Parents and never leaving their side, unlike the disciples of Jesus Christ, who were nowhere to be found when Jesus was crucified. But you guys never left our True Parents, and that’s why you guys are really the heroes that helped protect our True Parents during the wilderness era.
But see, the wilderness era, we had the dynamic, masculine leadership of our True Father. Very masculine, very charismatic, very powerful. He was the generalissimo of our movement. We obeyed and we followed. But now that we’re entering into the era of the settlement, this is a time when we really have to think about what it means to take root, not just be these gypsy-like commando units going all around the world spreading the good news. But we have to do the work of building ideal family, of building ideal relationships, of building a wonderful community and a society, nation and world.
In a way, the era of the settlement is going to require a slightly different kind of leadership, a leadership that is more nourishing, a little bit more supportive, a little bit more empowering to do the job that we need to do, to really build the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
In essence, the era of settlement is naturally going to be slightly more feminine. And therefore, I think it is not by coincidence, and I believe that it is by design that our True Mother is 23 years younger than our True Father. It is our desire, the children of our True Parents and our Heavenly Parent, to have our True Father with us until 120 years of age, right, brothers and sisters? We want our True Father here. But we have to understand that regardless of whether our True Father is here with us a little while longer or whether our Heavenly Parent wants to call our Father a little bit earlier than we would like, we have to understand that the True Parents are still here. Because as powerful and as awesome as True Father is, and as incredible as he is as that Messiah who came to change the world, he cannot be the True Parents without True Mother. And no matter how awesome our True Mother is, she cannot be the True Mother without our True Father. In a way they make up this one body, this paradigm of true love, and that’s why they can be such a wonderful example for all of us to aspire to.
So, we have to understand that many of us are thinking, “Oh my goodness, we want our True Father here for many, many years.” But don’t you think if our True Father can be with us until he’s 120 years of age, our True Mother can certainly be with us until 143? In a way, the last four decades has really been our True Father’s worldwide leadership, but regardless of what happens, brothers and sisters, in this natural transition we are the lucky ones that get to experience the whole of True Parents. Not just our True Father, but in the unfolding of providential history we will naturally be able to experience the beauty of the feminine aspect of the True Parentship in our lives.
And more than that, just as True Parents have never existed ever before in human history, we in our lifetime get to experience something absolutely profound. Even if our Father is called to spirit world earlier than we would like, we will for the first time experience the unity of heaven and earth in our True Parents.
Some of us have really experienced the fullest of our True Father’s leadership, especially in light of all the different hoon dok haes (scripture readings) that we’ve attended. Our True Father is quite well known for having long hoon dok haes. On good days maybe it’s two or three hours. But on some of those long hoon dok hae days it’s sometimes 13, 15, 17 hours. And I know Dr. Yang here, sitting in the front, is a veteran when it comes to long hoon dok haes. He has experienced many times uniting with the floor for many, many hours.
But see, the thing about leaders, and even me too, regardless of how much we experience uniting with the floor during hoon dok hae, there is a public and there is a private sphere. So, when Father finishes the hoon dok hae he goes into his private sphere with True Mother. And so, Dr. Yang can go back to his room and say, “Hallelujah, I can catch my breath.” And then he can compose himself, maybe meditate a little, drink a little bit of water and then come back out refreshed. And I can do the same. Rev. Cotter can do the same.
But the thing about our True Mother is, she is on 24-7 with our True Parents. Even the youngest and most robust young people cannot keep up with Father. I’ve seen a lot of your children, really handsome, tall and strong, cannot hold a candle to Father, who’s 93. But our True Mother is there every step of the way. There is no private sphere for Mother. She is always with True Father. Father only sleeps two or three hours a night, which means Mother only sleeps two or three hours a night.
But she has been such a wonderful partner and such a wonderful loving spouse to our True Father that the closer I get to this woman, I realize God really anointed and blessed and appointed this woman by design. And we are so grateful to have her as our True Mother.
And the incredible thing about our True Father is that he can really see the future of all mankind, and he knows that there might be some confusion and there might be some disgruntled argument along the way here and there. He really went forward and did us a favor by designating the youngest son that we all love to call “Lovey” as the spiritual heir of the movement.
As the providential history unfolds, we got to experience the masculine True Father leadership, and now we’ll get to experience more and more of the truly feminine leadership of our True Mother. Our True Mother’s leadership will segue beautifully into the future leadership of our spiritual leader, Rev. Hyung Jin Moon. And so, we need to be very, very clear and united and focused in this time to really say, our True Mother, we are here with you every step of the way. And this is the time to make it very clear and remind ourselves once again that we are very, very clear when it comes to the future leadership of our movement, that we are one and united with our international president.
I know that a lot of people are saying a lot of different things: “This would be a wonderful occasion for reconciliation of the True Family. What about unity and harmony when Father is in the process of healing, recovering?”
Well, the True Family and our True Parents have always wanted reconciliation, have always extended a hand of invitation for that unity and harmony. But in order to have true reconciliation both sides have to come to the table with a surrendering of heart, with a sense of repentance, and with an understanding that we need to work together, that we need to embrace ourselves as one family under God.
We cannot have true reconciliation if one of the sides comes with an air of arrogance, or with a set of own individual agendas, or with a desire to manipulate the situation. A true reconciliation cannot take place.
So, brothers and sisters, we have to understand that what we want in the True Family, and what our True Parents want, is this true and genuine reconciliation and we stand ready, and we pray for that reconciliation and we wait for that reconciliation. But certain foundation and criteria must be met. So we will continue to work toward that goal.
But in the meantime, when people say things like, “This is really a war between brothers; it’s True Mother getting in the way of true unity with True Father” – well, you cannot divide True Parents and say I have a great relationship with Father but it’s Mother that’s the problem. You cannot have a relationship with True Parents when you’re not having a true relationship with both Father and Mother.
And brothers and sisters, you have to understand that all of True Family is united with True Parents. All of the family is united with our international president, Hyung Jin Moon, and we want our family to be like one body of Christ. We want our movement to be like one body of Christ. We want our movement to be one family under God. But if there is anybody that is saying that people are actually making it impossible for them to unite as one family, they’re really not facing reality. Because the family and the movement are ready and willing for that embrace. But we’re just waiting for the surrendering of heart. We’re just waiting for repentance. We’re just waiting for a little bit of humbleness to make that new beginning. So, there is no war between brothers. Hyung Jin and Kook Jin wait for that day of reconciliation, just like the remainder of the family.
So, this year is an incredibly important year in that our True Father at the beginning of the year gave us the motto, this is the year of True Parents’ liberation. So, if we as the children ask ourselves, how do we go about liberating our parents? When I think of myself as a mom to my kids, one day I hope my kids can come to me and say, “Mommy, you’ve taken care of us, you’ve been responsible for us all these years, but now that we’re grown, now that we’re young adults, we want to be owners of our own destiny. We want to be responsible. In fact, a couple of us put in extra hours working at Starbucks, or maybe cleaning the floor at McDonald’s, or maybe doing some extra car wash, and we put together a chunk of change. Mom, please go on vacation.” This is what we as parents want. We want to be liberated from our children from time to time, even though we love them to death.
We’ve been great children in the sense that we’re very good at following and obeying, but just as we want our children to grow up and be that independent, competent, happy, successful, fulfilled human being, our True Parents want us to be the same. They really want us to own our own destiny, be responsible for ourselves, be responsible for our own families.
And brothers and sisters, if more of us did that then we wouldn’t have as many problems as we do in our movement. So many times we forget that the great deal of work we need to do is ourselves, and many times we’re busy trying to change other people or trying to change other families. But if more of us became more responsible in terms of being that responsible individual, saying to God and True Parents, “Please don’t worry. Appa, Father, Daddy, you’ve suffered enough for us. You’ve taught us well. You’ve really given us so much over the years. Please rest.” I think this is what our True Parents want to hear. They want to hear from their children, “Omonim, Mother, Mommy, please rest. You’ve suffered so much. You’ve given us so much. Now we can do the work, being providentially responsible people. We can share the breaking news. Please rest.” This is how we liberate our True Parents.
Brothers and sisters, regardless of how difficult the years have been, we’ve had some good years along with the bad and the difficult, jubilant years with our True Parents. Our True Parents, doing the will of God, really touched each and every one of our lives, did they not?
I saw some of your pictures when I was putting together the tribute book for the 40th anniversary of your Blessing. Some of you really were hippie yippie and lived a hippie yippie lifestyle. Some of you would not be here today if True Parents didn’t find you. You might have just continued on in your drug use, and you might have continued in your bachelor, bachelorette lifestyle. Maybe some of you would have never found a spouse or gotten married or gotten blessed. Maybe some of you never would have had children, these beautiful, these uniquely precious children that we call our own.
All of us are here because of God and True Parents and they have touched our lives in a profound way. And so this is an opportunity for all of us, brothers and sisters, to give something back to our True Parents. This is the year that we can liberate our True Parents. This is the year that we can say, “Mommy and Daddy, we’re grown up now and we’re going to be responsible. Please rest,” and thereby liberate our True Parents.
So, brothers and sisters, before I left my father’s side I held his hand as I normally do during the visits, and in my mind I said, “Father, I’m going to take your love and your handshake back to all of the brothers and sisters who are praying for you.” And it is really the heart of our True Mother as our mother to really thank you individually. I’m sure if she could be with you here today, that is exactly what she would do.
And so, as a representative of my family and of my parents, it’s a wonderful opportunity for us to share our Father’s handshake, and for you in a way to send your love and handshake back and the spiritual energy and the spiritual vitality back to our True Father so that our True Father can have a quick recovery. Is this not what we want, brothers and sisters?
I want to thank you for your prayers and for your jeongseong during these difficult times, and I encourage you to continue to send your jeongseong and your prayers. Please continue your relay prayer conditions in each district and continue to send your prayers and well wishes to our True Parents and to the family who are holding vigil with True Father each and every day.
So brothers and sisters, as I slowly make my way back to our True Father, please be the owners of your destiny. Please let us be responsible adult children of our True Parents and really make this the year when we can say we have truly liberated our True Parents. Okay, brothers and sisters?
We are in the Windy City of Chicago. A lot of other districts that I visited are going to do their best. Seattle, they pride themselves on being District 10. They have Starbucks coffee, they have Boeing and they have Microsoft, and they have the number 10. So they’re going to really pray hard to send so much spiritual energy to our True Parents. And Boston, of course, thinks it’s the town of the boss, so they’re going to try their best, brothers and sisters.
Yesterday we just came from Washington, D.C., and they are thinking that they’re the best and they’re going to do the job of washing America for the sake of God and for the sake of providence. So what about Chicago? What about Chicago being the district where heavenly winds blow and you can really transform, starting with your district, all of America for God and True Parents? Wouldn’t that be lovely, brothers and sisters?
So please stay strong, please stay focused and united, and once again, thank you so much. God bless!
