A UNIFICATION Church official says the youngest son of the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon has left South Korea for the North Korean capital to meet with mourners.
Church spokesman Ahn Ho-yeul says church leader Hyung-jin Moon plans to receive mourners at a church-owned peace institute in Pyongyang.
The church has business interests in North Korea, and the elder Moon worked to build ties with North Korean leaders.
Ahn said Friday that Rev Hyung Jin Moon is travelling with the president of North Korea-based Pyeonghwa Motors. The company is partially owned by the church.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un offered his condolences on Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon's death earlier this week.

Viewing True Father's physical body in its current state is
something of a shock for many people. I don't blame them. It
was a shock for me, too, when I first entered the room
Thursday morning to assist Kook Jin Nim in receiving guests.

This is not an "open casket". This is a
clear glass case. There has been no attempt to make Father
look as though he is asleep or life-like. One glance is enough
for anyone to see that this is a body that no longer hosts
							physical life.
The body is holy, and we refer to it as
the "Holy Body". For a little more than 92 years and
six months, it hosted the physical life of humanity's Messiah,
Savior and Lord at the Second Advent. During the Messiah's
course, it was subjected to all manner of hardship, including
							several instances of torture.
Today, I spent close to
four hours in that room assisting Kook Jin Nim receive group
after group of guests. One of my roles was to help guide
Japanese members as they came through. Several times, I would
choke up and have difficulty controlling my voice as I began
to think of the suffering this Holy Body has gone through.
