Unification Church Korea Celebration

True Children’s Day and the 25th Foundation for the
Unified Nations of Heaven and Earth.
At 7 a.m., Korea time, Unificationists in Korea gathered at the main auditorium of the Cheong Bok Goong to celebrate the two Holy days. A magnificent offering table had been prepared on the main stage. The celebration began with opening remarks by Rev. Sung Bok Hong, who served as the emcee. Participants sang the Cheon Il Guk (God’s Heavenly Kingdom) anthem. Offering bows were then made by members of different categories representing the Second Generation family, the three main providential countries (Korea, Japan, and USA), the six continents, religions of Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam, Bun bong wang (National Messiah), clansmen, Cain and Abel, and the Spirit World. Afterwards, Rev. Jung Ok Yu offered a prayer. Dr. Joon Ho Seuk, president of church in Korea, cut the ceremonial cake, gave a speech explaining the significance of holidays, and then offered the benediction. The ceremony came to a close with three cheers.

Belvedere, NY.
“On a bright sunny morning with leaves still clinging to the trees, members of the West Rock community held the joint celebration of the 53rd True Children’s Day and the 25th Foundation Day for the Unified Nation of Heaven and Earth at Belvedere today. The service was led by Rev. Bruce Grodner, who has served as District Pastor of New York for the past many years. Rev. Andrew Compton, the West Rock Pastor who was recently elected by the District Council as the next District Pastor, served as the emcee.
“Above all, as filial sons and daughters of God and True Parents, we need to understand their heart deeply,” said Rev. Grodner. “We need to know what makes them happy and what causes sorrow. Recently, we had the opportunity – difficult though in some ways it was – to understand how our True Mother is deeply concerned about the future of America. Until now, we only saw her with Father, supporting, and in the background. But now we see her taking her own responsibility, and on this True Children’s Day we very much want to find a way to be closer in heart.”
As the ceremony concluded, brothers and sisters in the congregation shared the celebration cake and divided the fruits and other offerings from the beautifully prepared offering table among all the families in attendance. Rev. Hyung Jin Moon, U.S. church president, and his wife Rev. Yeon Ah Moon and Dr. Chang Shik Yang, Continental Director were also present and took time to greet many of the families as they left to carry on their daily work.
