2009 Marriage Blessing for 

the Godly Civilization under the 

Sacred Reign of Peace

   The 2009 Marriage Blessing for the Godly Civilization under the Sacred Reign of Peace was held on January 31, 2009 at Manhattan Center in New York City. The blessing ceremony, held in commemoration of True Father’s 90th birthday as an inter-religious and inter-cultural blessing, was broadcast simultaneously to 186 nations. In Korea, the same blessing was held in the Cheong Pyeong Training Center of Heaven and Earth with 230 couples in the ceremony. 

Launching of Segye Ilbo

February 1, 1989

Segye Ilbo was launched on February 1, 1989 in Yongsan, Seoul. Around 1,000 leaders from political and academic world came to participate in the ceremony to commemorate the launching. True Father gave the company three missions: become the paper which ushers in the unification of Korea, elevate the spirit of Korean people, and realize the world of righteousness. True Father then gave the company motto, ’Love Heaven, love people, and love nation,’ and gave a speech in which he askedSegye Ilbo to become a media institution that can influence not only Korea but the world. 1.2 million copies of the first print was published which had 16 pages. After 26 years, Segye Ilbo has become one of the Korean people’s righteous newspapers.

Cheongshim International Hospital 

Dedication Ceremony

February 5, 1989, Cheongpyeong, Gyeonggido Province, Korea

A ceremony was held to offer Cheongshim International Hospital to Heaven on February 5, 2003. The construction began in September 2000 and it was finished after two years and five months. True Parents bestowed on the hospital a motto, ’Perfection of unification with heavenly character is possible through united mind and spirit.’ Through her congratulatory remarks, True Mother said ’The CheongpyeongTraining Center of Heaven and Earth and the Cheongshim International Hospital are the homeland for the hearts of Unification families around the world." CheongshimInternational Hospital deals both in western and oriental medicines. Located in middle of mountains with beautiful sceneries, the hospital serves its patients with cutting-edge medical equipment.
