Formation of One World Crusade (January 1, 1972, New York City)
During their third world tour, on January 8, 1972, True Parents formed the One World Crusade in New York City. The launching occurred in five nations. Fifty people participated in America; 15 in England; 60 in Germany, which included Austria; 600 in Japan, and 360 in Korea. Those in the One World Crusade engaged actively in many church activities including the Washington Monument rally. Their efforts contributed greatly to the World Rally for Korean Freedom on Yeouido Island, Korea, in 1974. Father called One World Crusade a movement to take back the realm of new Israel. Establishment of the Collegiate Association for Research of the Principle (January 10, 1966, Korean church national headquarters, Seoul)
The Collegiate Association for Research of the Principle was established inside the main hall of the church headquarters in Cheongpa-dong, Seoul, on January 10, 1966. CARP members from 26 universities in various countries participated in this event. Here, Father said Our mission is to unify the democratic side and communistic side, and that one member of CARP with a college degree or higher should be placed in each of the 2,400 villages in Korea. First National Missionary Training Workshop (January 10, 1959 Former headquarters church in Cheongpa-dong, Seoul)
The First National Missionary Training Workshop, a forty-day Divine Principle workshop to raise missionaries, was held January 10February 20, 1959. The workshop occurred in the former headquarters church in Cheongpa-dong, Seoul. The training program to obtain skills needed tobecome missionaries attracted 207 people. True Father offered Heaven a prayer, saying, Please allow the participants here to feel Gods heart during this time. Missionary Training Workshops continued until the 18th workshop.
