The Providential Significance of the Fourth Anniversary of Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day

The Dream of Our Heavenly Parent and True Parents: The Kingdom of Our Heavenly Parent, the Cosmic Nation of Peace and Unity

True Father and True Mother, the only begotten son and daughter of our Heavenly Parent, became the True Parents of humankind through their Holy Wedding. Since the Holy Wedding, our True Parents have, as God’s embodiment, attended the Heavenly Parent, and walked the providential course in order to firmly establish our Heavenly Parent’s kingdom on earth and in heaven. Following the Fall of the first ancestors of humankind, a self-centered culture characterized by war, conflict, antagonism and fighting emerged both in the spirit world and on earth. Human history has thus been the providence to save humankind from this hellish reality.

Through the Marriage Blessing, True Parents established fallen people in the position of children to inherit the true love, true life and true lineage of our Heavenly Parent, and thus brought them salvation. Moreover, as society became smitten with ideologies such atheistic communism, hedonism, the superficial ideology of capitalism, True Parents launched the Unification Movement transcending denominations, religions, national borders, race and culture, in order to bring about revolutionary change of society into a peaceful ideal world. This providential course is being carried out in order to realize the ideal of one family of humankind under our Heavenly Parent, and for the sake of God’s kingdom, the Cosmic Nation of Peace and Unity (Cheon Il Guk).

The 12-year Providential Course to Build the Heavenly Parent's Nation, The Cosmic Nation of Peace and Unity

Following their Holy Wedding, True Parents completed the providence of restoration through indemnity through their 40- year course (1960–2000). Going beyond the Old Testament Age, the New Testament Age and the Completed Testament Age, they have ushered in a providential era in which people can be separated from their fallen nature and the ideal of God’s original ideal of Creation can expand. For this reason, in 2001, True Parents proclaimed a 12-year course to establish Cheon Il Guk, and walked the path of investing every ounce of their strength at the risk of their lives on the path to the completion of the providence.

The twelve-year course to establish Cheon Il Guk unfolded based on three orderly 4-year providential courses. During the formation-stage 4-year course, True Parents conducted the Enthronement Ceremony for God’s Kingship (January 13, 2001); the Enthronement of the Parent of the Cosmos and the Parents of Heaven and Earth Who Reign over the Blessed Families as the King and Queen of Peace and Unity (February 6, 2003); the Coronation of True Parents as the King and Queen of Peace of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Israels (2003-2004); and the Coronation of True Parents as the King and Queen of Peace on the levels of tribe, nation and world (August 21 – December 31, 2004). They restored the kingship of our Heavenly Parent, and on the tribal, people, national and global foundation of the mainstream providence of human history, they proclaimed the sovereignty of Cheon Il Guk. Establishing all of humankind as the citizens of Cheon Il Guk, they completed the blessing of giving the Holy Wine and have been constantly giving training and education.

During the growth stage 4-year course (2005–2008), they held the Coronation of the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind as the King and Queen of Peace for Uniting Heaven and Earth (February 14, 2005). They founded the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) and heralded the advent of the era of the Abel UN (September 12, 2005). They hosted the Cheon Jeong Gung Entrance Ceremony and Coronation of the King and Queen of Peace in Heaven and on Earth (June 13, 2006), and the Hawaii King Garden Coronation Ceremony (March 13, 2007). They began the “Realm of Liberation Education in Our Portion of Responsibility in God’s Providential History (Original Divine Principle workshops),” and devoted their efforts to raising up people in the original image of God’s ideal. After establishing the “Abel UN” True Parents reorganized global governance, and centered on the House of Unification for World Peace they opened the era of “daily life governance” on the foundation of the Principle. Furthermore, they proclaimed the Peace Messages, and published Pyeonghwa Hoongyeong and Pyeoghwa Shingyeong, and on the foundation of the embodiment of the word, they fulfilled the True Family’s responsibility through education in the Word on a global tour undertaken by three generations: True Parents, True Children and True Grandchildren. Through this, they established a model national and global system moving in the direction of Cheon Il Guk.

During the completion stage course (2009 – 2012), True Parents celebrated the Coronation of God, the King of All Kings, with the Authority of His Liberation (January 15 and 31, 2009), published Father’s autobiography, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen (March 7, 2009), and conducted the Coronation for the Settlement of the Abel UN and Golden Wedding Ceremony (3.16 by the heavenly calendar, 2010). They held the proclamation rally for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind Who, as God’s Embodiment, Proclaim the Word; and held the Cosmic Assemblies for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind Who, as God’s Embodiment, Proclaim the Word. True Parents, as the embodiment of God’s Word, opened the era of the education of humankind. They concluded, completed and consummated the ultimate providential portion of responsibility, and, in front of the blessed families and all humankind, decreed that all should complete the heavenly tribal messiah mission. By the day he departed this earthly life, True Father had fulfilled the mission of the Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent of humankind, and left behind the words, “I have completed everything.” On 7.17 by the heavenly calendar he had his Seonghwa, ascending to the heavenly realms.

Following True Father’s Cosmic Seonghwa (Ascension), he continued his work to prepare for Foundation Day. True Mother said, “True Father is always together with us from the spirit world,” and resolutely declared that we would continue our mission without ceasing. True Parents bequeathed the tradition and value that they had established as the embodiment of the Word, and instructed a new beginning toward a new vision of the providence. Through inheriting and passing on the tradition, fulfilling the ideal of the blessed family, accomplishing the tribal messiah mission, and realizing the community of harmony and unity based on heart, they set off on a course of utmost devotion.

True Mother, in attendance of our Heavenly Parent and True Father in the spirit world, victoriously concluded the 12-year providential course, beginning from the Enthronement Ceremony for God’s Kingship, to build Cheon Il Guk. On that basis, on 1.13 by the heavenly calendar (February 22, 2013) the first day of the founding year of Cheon Il Guk, True Father in the spirit world and True Mother on earth, in attendance of Heavenly Parent, celebrated Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day, which declared the beginning of Cheon Il Guk throughout heaven and earth. Through the Cheon Il Guk Enthronement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, which had been held before Foundation Day, the Lord and Lady of Truth, Holiness and Virtue ascended to their throne, opening Heavenly Parent’s nation of Cheon Il Guk. From this day on, all humankind, attending Heavenly Parent as the vertical True Parents and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind as the horizontal True Parents, connected as brothers and sisters, can enjoy life in an ideal world of interdependence, mutual prosperity and universally shared values. The hope True Parents have nurtured throughout their lives has borne fruit on earth and in heaven, and a new history of the ideal of humankind as one family under our Heavenly Parent will prosper and thrive.

However, Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day could not be proclaimed on the foundation of the substantial restoration of a nation. In attendance of Heavenly Parent, and on the foundation of True Parents’ successful completion of their portion of responsibility, Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day was indeed proclaimed. Yet the Cheon Il Guk that can give rebirth to all blessed families and all humankind and citizens of Cheon Il Guk has not yet been established. Because of this, True Father in the spirit world and True Mother on earth, on the standard of having proclaimed the substantial sovereignty of Cheon Il Guk, and in order for blessed families to accomplish the restoration of sovereignty and the substantial settlement and prosperity of Cheon Il Guk, newly proclaimed Vision 2020 and declared a 7-year course from 2013 to 2020.

Vision 2020 and the Fifth Year of Cheon Il Guk

Vision 2020 and the 3-Year Course

The year 2020 is a providentially important year in which the substantial settlement of Cheon Il Guk is achieved. We will celebrate True Father’s 100th birthday and True Mother’s 77th birthday. That year also marks the 60th anniversary of True Parents’ Holy Wedding. Until that day, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification must work to substantialize Cheon Il Guk beyond its mere establishment, to the point where it is settled and thriving. We must substantially inherit True Parents’ victorious life course and revolutionize this world so that it becomes Heavenly Parent’s kingdom.

True Mother presented the ideal of Vision 2020 to humankind and, following True Father’s Cosmic Seonghwa (Ascension), Mother personally offered conditions of official mourning for three years. In attendance of Heavenly Parent and True Father in the heavenly realms, Mother expressed hyojeong (filial heart), the standard of the perfection of heart, which is the path that all people must tread. Representing all of humankind, who are in the position of children in front of True Father, True Mother personally watched over Bonhyangwon (Father’s tomb). The special conditions of mourning that she offered are symbolic of the profoundest filial heart that seeks to find all the people of the world as the children of the Heavenly Parent, our Creator. All people, following the path of hyojeong (filial heart), which True Father in the spirit world and True Mother on earth have laid down, will mature the heart of a child, heart of a sibling, heart of a husband or wife, and heart of a parent, and will walk the path to perfection as Heavenly Parent’s children.

Moreover, during the 3-year course we have walked, True Parents bequeathed their heart of filial piety to all people, and have organized and maintained the Cheon Il Guk system. In moving forward, they have published the three Holy Scriptures of Cheon Il Guk (Cheon Seong Gyeong, Pyeong Hwa Gyeong and Chambumo Gyeong) and promulgated the Cheon Il Guk Constitution for the sake of completing the settlement of Cheon Il Guk in substance. They have established the Cheon Il Guk Supreme Council and the five organs of Cheon Il Guk, and they have created the means of education, study opportunities and scholarships for the raising of capable new leaders. True Parents attend Heavenly Parent as their Parent, according to the original ideal of creation, and in the world of the restored garden of Eden they have pursued the ideal of peace and unity and have declared a revolution of the culture of heart.

“True Parents’ birth should have occurred on a national-level foundation. However, although Christianity had a global foundation it was unable to fulfil that responsibility. I must accomplish this while I am still on earth. If we can restore all the strategic nations and providential nations by 2020 it will be good, but we must restore at least 7 nations.” True Mother, November 16, 2015

In welcoming the 4th year of Cheon Il Guk, and on the foundation of three years of offering conditions in mourning, True Mother embarked on a four-year course for which “hope” was the central concept. Mother has spoken to us of firmly settling Cheon Il Guk through substantial national restoration, such that we can attend Heavenly Parent and True Parents until the accomplishment of Vision 2020, and she presented to us the concrete goals of “Witnessing,” “Creating a Witnessing Environment,” and “Raising People of Talent and Ability.” For the task of witnessing, Mother bestowed on us the mission of “Heavenly Tribal Messiah” by which all blessed families throughout the world will witness to and raise up 430 couples. In resemblance of True Parents, heavenly tribal messiahs will conduct, in a substantial way, the Blessing movement and campaign. We must also prepare the internal foundation to nurture the citizens of Cheon Il Guk and restore God’s substantial sovereignty in this world.

In order to prepare and create the environment for witnessing, True Mother founded the International Parliamentarians Association for Peace (IAPP). Moreover, through establishing the Sunhak Peace Prize we are standing in the forefront of the work to realize a world of peace. Through the World Summit conference and the 23rd International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences (ICUS), which has begun holding conferences again after a hiatus of 17 years, True Parents are guiding the providence to create an environment for witnessing for the sake of national restoration.

In addition, through providential organizations such as the Hyojeong Global Unification Foundation, the Sunhak Peace Prize, the Hyojeong Academy of the Arts and Sciences, the Wonmo Pyeongae Scholarship Fund, the Universal Peace Federation, the Women’s Federation for World Peace, the Hyojeong Cultural Center, and the World Mission Strategy Center, and based on many and various fields such as economics, science and the arts, scholarship, politics, the women’s movement, and culture, True Mother has opened the way for a peace movement for the building of Cheon Il Guk. True Parents, as the embodiment of the Word, are expanding Cheon Il Guk to the world and have established the necessary tools and effective operational foundation for that purpose.

Now the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) is welcoming the fifth year of Cheon Il Guk. In keeping with True Parents’ governance of the providence, we must effectively expand the work to “Witness,” to “Create the Witnessing Environment,” and to “Raise People of Talent and Ability.” True Parents are advocating the creation of the CheonJi SunHakWon museum, which will carry exhibits based on the life and work of True Parents as the embodiment of the Word, and thus present True Parents as the model for our life. In keeping with the need to nurture and inspire people of ability, we must improve the systematic quality of our initiatives aimed at developing adequate human resources for the sake of Cheon Il Guk's future. To support this endeavor, we must consider operating the Sunhak Global Educational Foundation. Moreover, in order to accomplish Vision 2020, we must expand the movement to settle Cheon Il Guk in the thirteen FFWPU administrative regions. We must inherit “The Light of Hyojeong (filial heart)” that True Parents have personally bestowed. The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) must rise up as the “Hope of the World” and must create the peaceful, ideal world of Cheon Il Guk on our beautiful planet Earth.
