WMHQ-UC Memo: Foundation Day requirements to be fulfilled‏

Re. : Foundation Day Blessing Ceremony for Blessed Families (tentative title)


May God and True Parents' blessings and love be with all regions, mission nations and providential organizations.


This is to announce further details regarding the Foundation Day Blessing Ceremony that will take place on 01.13 by the heavenly calendar in the 4th year of Cheon-gi (February 22, 2013) which was earlier announced through the official memo WMH 2012-95 dated 07.05 by the heavenly calendar in the 3rd year of Cheon-gi (August 22, 2012). Please do your utmost in preparing for this blessing with the greatest jeongseong.


1. Outline of Event


1) Name of Event: Foundation Day Blessing Ceremony for Blessed Families (tentative title)


2) Significance of this Blessing Ceremony


(1) This will be a Blessing Ceremony that we receive from the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, who are God's substantial body


(2) This Blessing Ceremony will allow us to be registered as citizens of Cheon Il Guk. For God's permission for us to take part in this Blessing which holds the greatest value, let us give thanks.


3) Date: 01.13 by the heavenly calendar in the 4th year of Cheon-gi (February 22, 2013)


4) Venue: Cheongshim Peace World Center, Korea (for representative families) and through internet broadcast worldwide


5) All blessed families (matched or married couples, and spirit world and physical world blessed couples)


2. Qualifications for participating in the Foundation Day Blessing Ceremony


1) Jeongseong


(1) To offer the following conditions for a period of 120 days [refer to International President's message dated 6.21 by the Heavenly Calendar (August 8, 2012)]

(2) Conditions: daily Hoondokhae and 120 gyeongbae

(3) Any other condition recommended by the regional president


Members who are ill, who face physical challenges, who are pregnant or who face other disabilities may consult their pastor or church leader and offer this jeongseong through an alternative way (e.g. offering 120 standing bows)


2) Please refer to subsequent memo for details of the Foundation Day special offering.


3) Those who are to participate in the Blessing Ceremony are required to complete at least one of the following education:


(1) Two-day (Three-day) Divine Principle education or One-week evening Divine Principle education organized by the regional or national headquarters

(2) Thirty-day Original Substance Divine Principle Education (for Korean and Japanese members)

(3) Five-day Original Substance Divine Principle Education for New Tribal Messiahs

(4) Special education for blessed families worldwide that was held from 05.27 . 06.07 by the heavenly calendar (July 16 . 25, 2012) at the Heaven and Earth Cheongpyeong Training Center


4) Guidelines for organizing Divine Principle education


(1) Below is a sample text for banners to be used during the education:

Three-day (or Seven-day Evening) Divine Principle Workshop for Candidates for the Foundation Day Blessing Ceremony

(2) Regional and national headquarters should organize these workshops and education.

(3) There should be twelve or more Divine Principle lectures, covering Part I and Part II of the Divine Principle.

(4) Local churches that wish to hold this education should submit their plans and report to their national leader in advance.

(5) The certificate of completion of the Divine Principle workshop and education should be issued in the name of the national leader.


3. How to register for the Foundation Day Blessing Ceremony


1) Provide a letter of confirmation of having completed 120-day jeongseong (the local pastor should confirm and report to the national headquarters)


2) A copy of receipt of having offered the special donation


3) A copy of the certificate of completion of the Divine Principle workshop


4) A completed application form (refer to sample form attached to this memo)


4. Blessed couples should fill out the application form at their local church.


Regional and national headquarters should collect and keep a copy of these forms. (The original copy should be kept at the local church.)


5. Dress for the Blessing Ceremony


1) Men: formal suit


2) Women:

(1) Those participating at the Cheongshim Peace World Center in Cheongpyeong must wear a wedding dress (each individual is expected to prepare their own dresses).

(2) Those taking part in the ceremony through the webcast can either wear a wedding dress or the ceremonial robe.


*Wedding veils, gloves, corsage, bouquet, and scarf will be provided at the venue.


6. Registration should be concluded two-weeks before the Foundation Day Blessing Ceremony.


7. More information for overseas couples participating in the ceremony at the Cheongshim Peace World Center in Korea will be announced at a later date.
