District Council High Priority List (USA)

Here is an example of issues one of the District Councils in USA are working on. Please comment (at your local Church) as how it can be done best.

1. Council communication with local pastors, and responsiveness of local pastors.
2. Relationship of pastors with other members and leaders in the community.
3. As a district we need to take care of second generation, especially since TF went to the spiritual realm, we need to encourage, be more aware that unless 2nd generation get more involved it will be difficult for our movement in the future. How do we get their input and get them more involved in positions?
4. Our pastors should have proper financial compensation for their work; including health care for their families.
5. Survey all members on a regular base to keep in touch; either by email, voicemail and one on one. We need to create an environnement that people feel that they are being heard. Also that they know there is a response when they have issues.
6. The tithing problem is education, through witnessing we can grow. How can we develop successful Divine Principle education programs for new and old members?
7. Rekindling trust between one another and with leaders.
8. Church growth; general education of our children using biblical principals during Sunday school. The most important part of a successful church is Sunday school.
9. The council should prepare a yearly schedule of workshops and activities so families can make plans.
10. Blessing education, there is some confusion regarding the blessing for kids, college and adults that need clarification.
11. Recreate programs where we educate our members, focus on giving meaningful life to our members, by helping to develop a volunteer spirit.
12. Survey the members to gather detail information from our district and present to headquarters to make sure they understand.
13. Organize a personal visit to each family by either the pastor or one of the members on the council to touch base to see how each family is doing.
