  This is an International Joint Blessing Marriage ceremony in which 3,500 couples will pledge the beginning of a new family. 12,000 people will gather for the event, including 5,000 guests. On this day, the couples will pledge to God their eternal marriage, transcending nationalities.

  The Won Mo Pyeong Ae Foundation will be launched on February 22, 2013 by its CEO Min Ha Kim. This Foundation is to honor the will of Dr. Sun Myung Moon, who dedicated his whole life to world peace. After Dr. Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa, his widow Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon donated all monies given to her as condolences to establish this Foundation. The Foundation’s vision is to bring peace, educate the talented youth and work towards social contributions. At its inauguration, the Won Mo Pyeong Ae Foundation will donate four billion won (about $3.7 million dollars) in scholarships to approximately 700 scholars. Five individuals and five organizations that served the underprivileged will be awarded for their services.

Rev. Moon departed from Korea for his first world tour in January, 1965. After spending two weeks in Japan, he and Mrs. Won Pak Choi left for America. Miss Kim, who accompanied them to Japan, departed ahead of them "to prepare Americans for his visit." 111 In an article, "Hail to the Brightness," the New Age Frontiers chronicled Rev. Moon's San Francisco Bay Area arrival

Rev. Moon and Mrs. Sang Ik Choi visit the USA for the first time in 1965. With them are members from San Francisco, including Young Oon Kim, Edwin Ang, and Ernie Stewart. Behind them is the station wagon that Rev. Moon used to tour the USA.

During his stay in Washington, D.C., Rev. Moon also initiated contacts with several political figures to whom he introduced the movement and its objectives and asked for support. By far, the most well-known contact of this kind was former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, whom Rev. Moon met in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on June 25, 1965.
