Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As many of you know, True Mother has just concluded a three-week visit to the United States, spending time in Las Vegas and in Hawaii. She shared with us her conviction that 2014 will be a year of victory and great progress, and urged all of our families to make a renewed commitment toward outreach efforts, to teach the Divine Principle, and to confidently testify to True Parents—particularly to their forty-year history of sacrifice and service here in America. She also guided us to memorize and internalize the Vision 2020 Motto: “Let Us Become True Owners of Cheon Il Guk who Practice True Love in Resemblance to Our Creator, the Heavenly Parent.”
In a few days, on Friday, January 31st, we will gather together across the nation to celebrate the True Heavenly Parent’s Day in the 2nd year of Cheon Il Guk. When True Parents first established God’s Day on January 1st, 1968, they did so with the beautiful motivation of liberating and comforting the heart of God, our Heavenly Parent who is still longing for the return of all of His children:
People have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and national holidays; but never have men and women in full attendance of God celebrated God's Day. How sorrowful this is that for so long there was no day to celebrate God, but only humanity celebrating themselves!
A few days later, on February 12th, we will join together again for the first anniversary of Foundation Day, which will also include the Cosmic Blessing ceremony. This year, 100 couples from the United States will receive the Blessing from True Parents at the main Blessing event in Korea, and all across the country, American families will join the celebrations by satellite broadcast in our local communities.
