오늘 많은 나라에서 일을 하시는 분들이
일정을 다 뒤로 하고 이렇게 와 주신데 대해서 정말 감사드립니다.
여러분도 이곳에 올 때 아마 느낌이 저와 같으리라고 생각합니다.
우리는 하나가 된, 한 가족인 그런 마음입니다.
세계 순회도 많이 했고, 많은 부류의
사람들을 만나보았습니다.
I sincerely thank all of you here for setting aside your schedule to come all the way here from your different countries. I believe you may feel the same way I do whenever you come here. We feel that way because we have become one, one family. I have gone on many speaking tours and met many diverse people.
모든 사람들의 소원은 자유롭고 평화롭고
행복한 세상에서 살고 싶어 하는 마음은 같습니다.
우리가 염원하고 추구하는 모든 노력들이 그러한
행복을 가져올 수 있는 자신이 있고 희망이 있다고 생각합니다.
제가 여러분들에게 부탁하고 싶은 말은 혼자서는 외롭습니다.
A common hope everyone shares is their desire to live in a free, peaceful and happy world.
I believe that our hope and all the efforts we invest as we pursue it will certainly bring about happiness. However, what I would like to tell you is that doing it alone is lonesome.
하나님도 천지창조를 시작하게 된 동기가 혼자서는
외롭기 때문에, 상대가 필요하기 때문에 천지창조를 했습니다.
오늘날 우리 통일기반이 세계 194개국에 나가 있습니다.
많은 나라들이 다 그들 나름대로의 꿈이 있습니다.
The purpose for which God began the Creation was because of his loneliness; he needed a partner. Today, the Unification Church foundation has spread to 194 countries. Many countries have their own way, their own dreams.
특히 그 나라를 지도하고 있는 지도급의 정상들이나
책임자들은 백성들을 잘 되게 해서 잘 살고 싶어
하는 마음이 있지요?
I am sure that those in leadership positions, the heads and those in charge, people leading nations, would want their people to live well, right?
그러나 혼자서 자기 나라만의 이익을 추구하고
행복과 자유와 평화를 노래한다고 하는 것은
오늘날 현 시점에서는 불가능합니다.
However, at this point, it is impossible to pursue one’s national interest alone and promote happiness, freedom and peace.
많은 국경선이 있어요.
또한 많은 인종, 종교분쟁이라든지,
이루 말할 수 없는 우리의 벽들이 많이 있습니다.
There are many national boundaries and many indescribable barriers such as racial and religious conflicts.
그러나 우리는 압니다.
창조주이신 하늘부모님을 모시게 될 때에
우리는 이 세계의 70억 인류들이
어떻게 나아가야 할지를 압니다.
그 나아가는 길을 가르치시는 분이 참부모이십니다.
참부모로 말미암아 모든 나라들이 형제국으로서
하나가 될 수 있습니다.
We, however, know how. When we serve our Heavenly Parent, the Creator, we know what path the seven billion people on earth should follow. True Parents are the ones who have taught the way we should follow. All countries can become one as sibling nations through True Parents.
하나보다는 둘이 더 힘이 커집니다. 셋, 넷, ……
194개국이 한마음, 한 뜻으로 움직이게 될 때
지금 인류가 고민하고 있는 모든 문제들을 해결할 수 있습니다.
특별히 지금의 환경문제로 많은 위험을 받고 있습니다.
인간이 무질서하고 창조의 근원을 저해하고 있습니다.
그렇기 때문에 우리에게 기쁨과 활력소를 주는
자연이 파괴되고 있으니 모든 미래를 염려하는
우리의 지도자들은 크게 우려하고 있지만 나서지를
못하고 있는 것이 안타깝습니다.

If the 194 countries move together with one heart and vision, all the problems that human beings are agonizing over can be resolved. In particular, we are facing a lot of dangers as a result of environmental problems. The disorderliness of humanity is bringing down the source of creation. The natural environment, which is a source of joy to us, is being destroyed. Even though our leaders are greatly concerned about this environmental problem as they worry about everything in the future, it is quite unfortunate that they have not been able to do anything about it.
제가 이번에 스위스를 방문하여 알프스에…,
200개가 넘는 산들이 있다고 합니다.
그런데 12개의 높은 봉우리를 올랐습니다.
그런데 한 곳을 갔을 때에 로마시대에 닦아놨던
길을 보았습니다.
I visited Switzerland this time. I heard there are over two hundreds mountains in the Alps. I went to twelve of the high peaks. On one of the peaks, I came across a road that was built during the days of the Roman Empire.
알프스를 중심삼고 다섯 개의 나라가 연결되어
있기 때문에 기독교 문화권이, 말하자면
선교를 나갈 때에 돌아가는 것보다는 산길을 따라
가는 것이 더욱 편리했다고 합니다.
그래서 로마시대에 길을 놓았다는 말을 들었습니다.
The Alps connects five countries; as a result, the Christian cultural realm…. When Christians went on missions, instead of going around the mountains, they found it more convenient to follow a mountain path. I heard that that is why a road was built in the mountains during the days of the Roman Empire.
그렇습니다. 우리는 소통해야 됩니다.
서로 대화가 되어야 합니다.
그러려면 하나의 중심이 있어야 하고, 목표가 있어야 합니다.
그래서 여러분들에게 부탁할 말이 있다면, 건강하십시오.
그래서 참부모님이 염원하고, 하늘부모님이 염원하고,
인류가 염원하는 하나의 세계, 반드시 이룰 수 있습니다.
거기에 동참하는 여러분들이 되어 주시려면
우선 건강해야 되겠습니다.
That is right. We must communicate. We must be able to talk to one another. In order to do so, however, we must have one center, we must have a goal. So, one thing I would like to ask of you is to please be healthy. Then you will certainly be able to realize the one world that True Parents, our Heavenly Parent and humanity have desired. However, in order for you to partake in this, you must first be fit.
제가 작년에 볼 때하고, 지금 볼 때하고
어떻습니까?
제가 얼마 안 되지만 몇 달 노력을 했습니다.
무슨 약을 먹거나 치료를 하는 것이 아니고
걷는 운동을 했습니다.
How do I look to you now compared to last year? Even though it hasn’t been long, I have been working out. I didn’t take any pills or receive any kind of treatment. I have been walking.
그랬더니 확실히 몸이 가볍습니다.
내가 볼 때는 모든 나라를 책임졌던 여러분들도
건강하셨으면 좋겠습니다.
그리하여 한마음 한 뜻을 모아서
우리 다함께 참사랑을 실천하는….
참부모님의 오늘 말씀 중에 ‘용서하라. 사랑하라, 하나되자’였습니다.
이것을 앞자만 따게 되면 ‘True parents flu'
이것은 참사랑의 플루이기 때문에 좋습니다.

Thanks to these efforts, my body has certainly become lighter. It is my hope that all of you in charge of nations be in good health. Then, we can all join in heart and vision and practice true love altogether. During my message today, I asked that we forgive, love and unite. If we take the first letter out of the three words it becomes “True Parents’ flu.” However, because this is a flu of true love, it is a great flu. Please remain healthy.
